The new CDJ players – CDJ900 or 2000 from Pioneer allow DJs to play using just a USB stick where their music is stored. This is so convenient, not only for the pre-party tune organisation but it also saves a copy of the track list as played in any set.
Here are four such playlists, taken from my recent gigs.
As you can see, there are one or two tracks that get played every set, although all sets are pretty varied.  There are one or two of my sure fire winners and a couple of tracks that I feel are now to be locked away for at least 5 years before I ever play them again.
The lists also show tunes that I cue up ready to play even if I dont actually play them, there are a couple of instancies in every set where I do this. Also, due to the way you have to prepare the tracks, there are a couple of tunes missing that don’t show up as being played, the same goes for any tunes I decided to play from my back-up CD wallet.
Seeing as I have them, I’ll share them.  Most tracks are fully labelled, others are labelled by me with a little info (usually vinyl rips or exclusives).
Unfortunately neither SPW sets were recorded and I am waiting to see how the recording from Belgium turned out.
