VOCAL BOOTH WEEKENDER UPDATE

As the incessant heat arrives in Spain, plans are firmly under way for this year’s fun in the sun.
Despite all the hype around this event, it is still a relatively small affair that has the potential to grow into something much bigger over time. This means that you are guaranteed to be partying with only like-minded individuals who are here for no other reason than to have fun with good people.
For anyone still undecided as to whether or not they will join us, here is a full run down on proceedings.

THURSDAY

The music begins at 6pm, poolside of the Montepiedra Hotel, for the people that arrive early to take full advantage of the weekend. At 9pm sharp we go live across the world, teasing the crew who listen at home whilst packing their cases ready for their arrival the next day. The music continues well into the night.

FRIDAY

The majority of people check in and arrive at the Montepiedra reception for registration, where they receive their weekend pass and programme along with some exclusive giveaways. The music fires up again in the afternoon, around 4pm, for more poolside action from some of Europe’s finest unsung talent and established DJs.

While this takes place, downstairs in the air conditioned conference room, Danny J Lewis hosts the Point Blank Production Seminar for those interested in improving their skills or even thinking of beginning to produce music.
Friday night, and the action moves to the club where all the crew converge and go crazy to some of the best names the soulful scene has to offer.
As the sun rises, many retire to bed while the hardcore contingent take the 90 seconds stroll to the beach for more madness.

SATURDAY

Returning poolside to the Montepiedra, the Triple S Sessions begin for an afternoon of sun soaked grooves while the Family nurse their sore heads and start it all over again.
Rolling round to the club for part 2 of the action on the night time.

SUNDAY

Many people have taken my advise and booked the extra night in their hotels, meaning they have not missed out on one of the finest venues the area has to offer. Originally planned to be the setting for Saturday afternoon’s fun, this venue now plays host to an extra special Sunday Lockdown.
A truly breathtaking arena for fun and games, we continue again until the wee hours and may even take it to the club for one more blow out !
*STOP PRESS* – We are honoured to have one of the true legends of the music scene join us on this special occasion, none other than Mr Hippie Torrales.  An entire book could be written on this gentleman, but in short, he was one of the pioneer DJs from New Jersey.
Hippie began his career in Newark and was the founding resident at the now legendary Zanzibar club. Making a seamless transition from disco to house he was also behind the dance floor classic ‘You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone’ by Turntable Orchestra.

MONDAY

Returning to the luxury of Sunday’s party, a very laid-back afternoon where we hand over the decks to a few of our friends who have travelled far and wide to join us, as well as one or two of the Family we couldn’t squeeze onto the main line up.
Please check the full information on flights, airport transfers and accommodation here and how you can pay for your pass, remembering that the price automatically increases in August and that the special rates in the hotels may no longer be available.  The Palmera Aparthotel may have special offers on week long stays, where you only pay for 5 days, although I cannot guarantee this.
Last year’s event took over Facebook with pictures and videos, more so than any other event I have ever seen, even more than the Southport Weekender! Please do not miss this opportunity to join us at the beginning of what promises to be an historical series of parties.
