VBW 2012

Much of the content  is removed from the server after a few weeks.

Most radio shows and mixes should be available on my Mixcloud Channel or YouTube Archives

If there is anything specific you are after that you cannot find, get in touch as I hopefully have it saved on my Hard Drive.

VBW 2012

The day finally came for me to unveil the site I’ve been working on for the last two months.  Well I say two months.. the site only took a few days to put together but I have purposely waited until today to launch it, meaning every day for the last 6 weeks I changed something else just to satisfy my need to tinker.

The Vocal Booth Weekender 2012 is now officially on it’s way and what a response ! Thousands of page views today have made all the hard work worth while, and despite there being one critical link to the password I forgot to update, it all seems to be working fine. Take a look. I am very proud of it.
Building a website isn’t that difficult if you know enough about “stuff”. During the course of the last few years I have had the help of two key people in enabling me to get my head around web code etc etc (respect to Renato and Benjamin), my regular questions have all been answered perfectly and of course a quick Google search will solve almost any problem. I really enjoyed building the VBW site as well as making a few adjustments to this one and have really got to know how things work “under the hood”. Of course, the main reason why all this is possible is the wonderful platform called WordPress.
Wordpress is basically a tool that allows even the most web-ignorant person to create a blog or website in seconds. There are a plethora of different templates available to build your site around, customising different areas with your info and images to truly make the site your own. There is, of course, a lot more to it than that, but that is it in a nutshell.
I enjoyed building the VBW site so much that I am even starting to offer my friends (that means you) the chance to get their own site off the ground, with my help. This is something to help keep me company when I have nothing to do.
Sound interesting ? Drop me a line and I’ll fill you in more. My intention is to offer you an affordable way to get up and running on line with everything you need.. you would be surprised at how inexpensive it actually can be. There are obviously experts who charge a lot for this kind of service and you get the support to match. I am definitely no expert but at the same time, I would love to help you and teach myself a little more at the same time.
Without the initial help of Artillery who designed this one for me, I’d still be using a pretty basic site and so I want to share my knowledge with you now !
Remember, all the VBW news now comes via the mailing list so subscribe over there now !

  1. We should make our site happen, we didn’t get in touch about it before Chritmas as we were so busy and in truth I am a bit worried about having enough content….will email you some links to the building blocks for our current one so that you can have a look at it…

  2. Well done on the site, it looks great! I used it to do the deed on 1st Feb lol. WordPress is ace – I’ve been working on a site for my job and it’s nearly ready. I love the tinkering you can do and it’s great to discover how to do bits and bobs without having to know how to write HTML code etc. It sounds really banal but I am easily pleased. Big up x

Set For Love: Andy Ward 3 Hour Vinyl Only Session.

Recorded live on Friday 22nd March, World Water Day 2024, this audio-only extract is from a live stream in conjunction with Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and CastRooms. A fantastic session and a really great showreel of my musical tastes and mixing skills which I’ve taken so much pride in down the years.
