I consider myself to be fairly competent when it comes to computer and internet related stuff, yet there is still so much I don’t understand. I know there are a hell of a lot of people who are way behind in the race to keep up, so this information is bound to be useful for one or two of you.
You must have heard of an RSS feed. I have no idea what it stands for and don’t feel nerdy enough to want to know. What I do know is that it’s a handy way of keeping up to date with all of your favourite things, without having to constantly check pages or web sites.
I recently discovered two new things (thanks Jared @ Liquid Sky)
1. The mail app that comes as standard on mac systems.
(this is ridiculous, considering I’ve had a mac for about 3 years now)
2. How RSS works within this
If you click the “subscribe via RSS” button on any site or blog, this pulls all the latest updates from that site and puts it direct to your inbox for ease of viewing, both on and offline.
