3 hours off-the-cuff, featuring a selection of quality soulful house tunes from the digital archives. Taking full advantage of having Jeff on the Costa Blanca and getting to know the man a little better.
Joining me in the studio to see out the year are Schooly, Dave Furze, Jeff Garcia & Karen Griffith.
Fun times and great music.
Welcome to ‘The One Eight’… We’ve got this bitch !
A gin-fuelled journey through some early house anthems.
Merry Xmas to all, I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed doing it and telling you all repeatedly how much I love you 🙂
Funny thing… after the show I forced Michelle to have two large shots of Gin to ‘Catch me up’. It was a vibey Xmas Eve in the Ward Household.
A look back on the last 12 months, which will hopefully inspire you to do the same. I share a few words about my highlights with, thankfully, not many lows.
Long story short, as recently described in my rundown of VB2017, here is a selection of tunes I put together not long after the event.
This set was more or less what I had in mind to share on the Sunday evening, instead I got shitfaced drunk and played 45 mins before giving up and handing the headphones to Ralph Gum… it’s my party, I do what I want 🙂
Anyway, I was so upset (because I was sure this set would have been pretty epic) that this mix was the first thing I did when I got my equipment back at home.
I am sharing now due to no radio show this week, thanks to the sniffles and chills that have beaten me up the last few days.
2 hours of vinyl nuggets from around 95 – 99.
I’ve purposely steered clear of many of the obvious anthems and shared approx 25 killer tunes that evoke strong memories of the start of the UKG movement.
This week’s regular show features 2 hours of soulful/funky house classics. Take a listen to find out why.
Here is the final 2 hours of Vocal Booth Weekender 2017. Also available to watch the wonderful vibes unfold on video.
This week I open the show with some proper Saturday Night Specials and give news about upcoming VB stuff.
I’m running out of things to say each week about the show.
Frankly, I’m not sure anyone reads it anyway. Nevertheless I love playing 2 hours of vinyl every Sunday and send thanks to all those that listen.
