As I  read all the status updates on Facebook and Twitter, I realise I should take the time to thank you for joining me on the journey that was 2013.
Usually at this time of the year I clear my head of all the thoughts that linger from the last 12 months and look forward to all that the next 12 bring in an end of year blog. However, I simply can’t be arsed… harsh but true.
I now consider myself totally out of the loop, musically speaking, and can concentrate my time and efforts on my website business and of course the Vocal Booth Weekender.  I have no gigs on the horizon and don’t plan on taking any bookings other than my own parties.  Many people have messaged me to say “Don’t do anything stupid and say you’ll never play again”, well I’ve not said that, I just don’t consider myself a gigging DJ now and enjoy the freedom this brings, mentally and physically.
I’m ‘over’ everything that goes with the responsibility of being a DJ… until you have done this as a sole career for as long as I have then it will be hard to understand where I’m coming from.  Fortunately I am able to move forward into the new year with lots of positivity and plans for the future.
My friend, I look forward to the time we are together sharing a dance and a drink, until then I wish you all the very best for whatever plans you have for NYE 2013 and all that lies ahead for you in 2014.
