I’ve just been tagged in a post on Facebook confirming that the £10,000 target has been reached to keep SSRadio on the air.
SSRADIO HAS BEEN SAVED! Big thanks to everyone who pledged support, I admit I had my doubts last week but it shows how people can push a positive movement and overcome even the most daunting of challenges..

Whilst this is great news for the station I am surprised by the lack of support this plea raised. Yes, 10 grand is no mean feat but unless I’m mistaken, looking at the figures there are a mere 165 people that cared enough to help ? I’ll gladly eat my words if that’s wrong.
If that was my ‘baby’ then I’d be totally reluctant to continue, seeing as not many people who clearly listen to the shows and their podcasts were willing to show their gratitude by giving even the smallest of donations. Yes, it’s close to Christmas but knowing how much passion and dedication and hard work has to go into something like SSRadio to make it work, personally I wouldn’t be able to plough that much in to know only a handful of people really appreciated it.
Maybe I’m spoiled, I don’t know.
Anyway, without being the voice of doom I am extremely happy for all concerned and look forward to seeing what they have to offer in the New Year.

I couldnt be happier to hear this! SSRadio is one of the best online radio stations. I wouldnt take the seeming lack of commitment from listeners as a sign of people’s lack of caring about the station. Anyway, those of us that believe in it need to make sure it continues! What a great way to begin the holidays! Happiest of holidays to you all!
