A random photo from a friend and a brief chat on Facebook got me thinking.
In a nutshell (and a chain of thought that really takes way too many twists & turns to document) I came to the conclusion that being born in 1970 meant I was perfectly placed to witness some of the most exciting times EVER.
A bold claim ?
Think about it. All the amazing music cycles we’ve witnessed and been immersed in, first hand ? The fashions ? The advancement in technology we were lucky enough to see and grow with ?
Man, there’s just too much to go on about but I know just how nostalgic I get when I think back to the different important stages of my life and how ‘big’ they were for everyone else in the same age bracket.
Is there any other generation that can boast to have been as ‘important’ or ‘lucky’ as anyone born within those few years ?
I took a two hour walk along the beach today and came up with an idea for a new podcast which, now I think about it, means this was destined to come out right now and I was destined to have that chance exchange on Facebook ! Spooky.
Set For Love: Andy Ward 3 Hour Vinyl Only Session.
Recorded live on Friday 22nd March, World Water Day 2024, this audio-only extract is from a live stream in conjunction with Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and CastRooms. A fantastic session and a really great showreel of my musical tastes and mixing skills which I’ve taken so much pride in down the years.
